LPOA Newsletter

Winter 2017 here on LBI has been fickle – some days blustery West winds blow, other days we see sun and mild(er) temperatures. We hardy souls, who reside here year round, stroll deserted beaches and zip down the Boulevard at 45 mph! No traffic lights slowing us down!

We do hear the contractors hammering, plying their trade to new construction, or remodels. Construction on the Bridge to the mainland progresses. Daily lane closures and traffic pattern shifts continue.

The Nor’easter on January 23 eroded areas of our beach. According to the SandPaper, Mayor Mancini of Long Beach Township states “what Long Beach Township is doing is pushing up the sand from the flat beach toward the dunes and trying to knock the cliffs down.” View Youtu.be/OQEZ8IBfG1o to see the erosion at the Jersey shore.

LPOA is organizing for another summer season in Loveladies. We reserved the LBIF for our Meet the Mayor Brunch on 6/25, and our End of the Season Membership Meeting and Brunch is set for 8/25.

Our revised membership application is available at our website: loveladies.org. You can renew membership now and be ready to enjoy the season!

Please be sure to give us your preferred mailing address for LPOA mailings. Loveladies or other residence?

Also, new to our 2017 membership application, is the option to have your Directory sent to you as a PDF file. Our goal is to become paperless! This is both a cost savings to the organization and environmentally sound. For those of you who would like to have a print copy of the 2017 Directory, we will honor your request and mail you a copy. Be sure to check the line with your preference.

Stay well, stay happy and see you in the Spring to welcome another Endless Summer, Loveladies style!
